As every surveyor knows, accuracy depends on the conditions

All receivers offered by DataGrid are geodetic quality receivers capable of generating carrier phase accuracies under open sky conditions in the mm to sub-mm range. PNT accuracy depends on satellite geometry which is quantified by the dilution factors known as DOP. Under open sky conditions DataGrid's decade old GPS L1/L2 receivers yielded better than 1 mm accuracies as was concluded from multi year studies where a network of stations were used to study rock stability at a proposed nuclear waste storage site. This study was audited at multiple levels by independent teams. In this study the receivers were operating with choke ring antennas and with permanent antenna foundations.

The ability to track multiple constellations and therefore more satellites improves the DOP values, especially under adverse conditions. Accuracies under open sky conditions however, are only improved by small amounts. This is since the dilution using a single constellation is already small if it's fully operational.

Use of more frequency bands adds information and often improves the accuracy but this is not always so. The big advantage from using an additional frequency is improved ambiguity resolution and therefore more reliable PNT data with few floats.

Accuracies also depend on the processing software and its settings. DataGrid offers suitable processing codes or can propose third party codes depending on your application. Contact us for more details as required.

All DataGrid GNSS solutions are state of the art. The primary limitation under open sky conditions is the weakest link in a GNSS solution and that is typically not the receiver / software combination.

The bigger advances are under adverse conditions. We are funded through the US Army and the US Department of Defense to work on high multipath environments, under limited sky coverage with ionospheric storms and to push the limits under friendly skies as well as under conflicts that include Spamming & Spoofing.  DataGrid has rights under it's contract to bring these advances to the civilian markets. Obviously, protected SAASM or M-code data cannot be used in civilian settings so the solutions are typically adapted for civilian use.
